1) Psychiatric dissociation/repression is sometimes a good thing. In times of need, it allows you to only be stressed by what you want to be stressed with. Treat it like a trump card not to be used too often.
2) Self-accountability distinguishes you from the children and demented people. In the end, we're not responsible for you.
