Thoughts on Random Stuff & Training, Inspired by Cheesecake

Random Stuff:
1) Exam's in two weeks time. Looks like I'll have to start my "answer MCQ's" and study from them cycle starting from, now. I finally started reading my resources/notes seriously. It's too late to be making new or updating notes.

2) Based on what I see on Facebook, some people seem to have issues with stress, all the time. Not many, but some. Everybody can complain about life sometimes, but when that's all your status updates are, you have issues. I heard that PCM (paracetamol) overdose works wonders.

You also have issues if all of your Facebook updates are about your Mafia Wars updates. It's called "you have no real life".

3) This Rotiboy cheesecake deal with free white coffee is good (RM 5.5). Good food, good view of people in and out of the mall.

4) I considered entering the iQuest kayaking competition, but was too lazy to find a partner. I wonder if I had a chance of winning had I did find one.

5) Everybody's getting married. Am I jealous? Yes I am.

6) Here's some motivation for you folks: Give forth your best efforts, be prepared for the worst outcome. Paraphrased from Umar al-Khattab, but I can't find the original transcript. You really can't expect something good if you gave um, extremely poor effort now, do you? And quantity does not substitute for quality.

7) Lastly. Prof Tahir has proven that the masters may have forgotten more that the students may ever learn. And that sucks. I'm not even 25 and have forgotten my chemistry, and my most favorite science, physics.

8) I've no idea why I'm not interested at all in this year's iQuest as a whole. Maybe I needed the current weekend to lie down, relax, read, think. Nothing else. Besides, the next weekend will be "driving back home and back to Kuantan in less than 24 hours", again. And that's draining when you're driving a car that has no air conditioning, and is guaranteed to make you sweat even when driving at night with the windows open. Fixing it would cost more than selling the car. Not to mention that the laptop is the radio. I'm looking for solutions, but money is short.

Yeah life is good. When you're old, you'll miss the events of your youth.

Training:
1) I'll be adding power cleans before my 5/3/1 deadlifts. At the moment I know that I can clean up to 50 kg's. Ill test things out and see if I can go up to 60 kg's tomorrow. If that's the case, I'll use cleans as deadlift warm-up sets.

2) I'll try to get rep PR's every other week from now on, along with my "minimum additional reps" that I usually do (did + 4 for the last cycle). Last week, I did rep PR's for both deadlift and standing shoulder presses, both for 9 reps (5 being the minimum target). During the next cycle, I'll push it on the bench and front squat on the first week, and alternate for the subsequent weeks. It might be a good way to really push things without being too taxing.

3) I'm on my way to achieving that 160 kg deadlift before graduation, but not so much for my bench. Using Wendler's 1RM estimator, my 1RM bench is at around 80 kg's. Assuming that I get 2 cycles every posting, I will get 6 cycles, with adding of 6 * 2.5 = 15 kg's to my work sets. This again assumes that I do not plateau during training, which would give me an estimated max of 95 kg. I need to ensure that I get that extra 5 kg. Hopefully step 2 will help me with that.
